The Territorial Transport Authority of Gipuzkoa (Autoridad Territorial del Transporte de Gipuzkoa, ATTG) has promoted an ambitious project towards a sustainable transport policy implementing a common rate system for the entire territory (700 000 habitants) and all means of transport. Gipuzkoa residents thus enjoy a simple and socially responsible common rate system thanks to the MUGI smart card, which enables lower ticket prices proportional to frequency of travel.
MUGI is an ecosystem where different stakeholders working in a complex environment of systems and processes associated to data flows live together.
Ikusi presented ATTG with a project based on its Spider solution, an integrated platform for optimizing public transport services that will make it possible to efficiently rationalize and manage the data currently available in the system, adding the capacity to view and extract significant data for management, exploiting large data volumes being generated from many heterogeneous sources in the course of daily operations throughout the city/territory, always using the same technological platform.
For the purpose, Ikusi has implanted a smart mobility platform that offers an integrated view of the reality of public transport in Gipuzkoa bu means of all the data managed and stored by the ATTG. In other words, it makes it possible to avail of all the data necessary to offer a vision of transport in Gipuzkoa as a whole (as a system composed of systems) in combination at a single point. This overview makes it possible to implement new services and applications on it that combine the data from the multiple heterogeneous sources for the integrated smart management of all the elements.
