Ikusi and the Government of Mérida City Council have signed a collaboration agreement to deploy a pilot project designed to equip the city of Mérida technologically and install Ikusi’s Spider urban management system. This is a project that is already up and running and is scheduled to complete its first implementation phase in June this year.

Ikusi’s Spider urban management platform is capable of handling all the city’s subsystems, it offers a global view, interlinks processes to coordinate resources, and resolves problems proactively. Spider centralises, processes and uses data in real time and converts them into information by means of business intelligence tools.

In a second development phase, the project aims to trigger an “Urban Lab” for the development of new services geared towards citizens, such as personalised information in real time on alternatives for public transport, or on the best pedestrian routes depending on the influx of people.

The outcomes of this project will be presented jointly by Ikusi and the City of Mérida at the Smart City Expo World Congress, scheduled to take place in Barcelona from 14 to 16 November, 2017.
