Ikusi, through its subsidiary in Chile, has signed an important contract with the country’s main airport and one of the most important in Latin America, Arturo Merino Benítez Airport in Santiago de Chile.

Ikusi is to provide all the security systems for the airport’s new Terminal T2, with the Armadillo solution as the technological base for managing the access control systems, CCTV and public-address system, which will be integrated into the existing platform in T1.

This contract makes Ikusi the first company in the country to provide innovative solutions for the airport market, and will further open the way for the new airport projects in the area. This contract continues the provision of solutions previously implemented for one of the most important operators in the airport market, Vinci Airports, with the deployment of an automated operations management system (the Spider Information Broker (IB) solution and an AODB/RMS system) and the Spider platform to create a technology framework that responds to the concession management model under which this airport operates.

Armadillo is consolidated

Similarly, the deployment of Armadillo in Chile confirms the consolidation of this security solution in the airport sector, which already includes important references such as Lisbon airport and the airports of Cartagena de Indias and Cali in Colombia.
