Ikusi has recently added two new certifications that are particularly significant in the field of cybersecurity and managed services in general: Spain’s National Security Framework (ENS), High Category, and NIS2 certification. Both frameworks are designed to strengthen the way an ISMS (Information Security Management System) is managed and implemented. An ISMS encompasses the policies, procedures, standards and controls an organisation uses to protect its data and systems. While ENS and NIS2 address different areas, their scope is also complementary.

The National Security Framework (ENS) is Spain’s cybersecurity regulatory framework governing the protection of information and electronic services in the public sector. Given Ikusi’s strong commitment to cybersecurity, the company has worked towards achieving certification at its most demanding level, the High Category. Its relevance, however, goes beyond public authorities, as it also applies to private companies such as Ikusi that provide services to or work with public-sector organisations.

The NIS2 Directive, meanwhile, is the European Union’s cybersecurity regulation requiring companies and public authorities in critical sectors to comply with stringent security and risk management standards.

Formally adopted in November 2022 by the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union, and in force since October 2024, its aim is to raise the overall level of protection against cyberattacks across the European Union.

These two new certifications complement ISO 27001:2022, creating a robust security framework that strengthens Ikusi’s credentials with its customers. While ENS certifies security, NIS2 demonstrates preparedness for the latest European regulatory requirements, and ISO 20000 demonstrates the ability to deliver IT services efficiently, consistently and with a strong focus on excellence.
