Ikusi celebrated its 55th anniversary in Madrid, highlighting its history and the role of people in its future

Ikusi celebrated its 55th anniversary this Thursday in Madrid with an event that brought together clients, partners, and company professionals, in a day marked by recognition of its trajectory and a focus on the future.
The event featured speeches from several company executives, who reviewed Ikusi’s evolution from its founding in 1971 to the present day, highlighting both technological milestones, international growth, and the consolidation of its business model.
Ikusi’s CEO, Iñaki Maiz, opened the session by emphasizing the coincidence between the company’s founding and a key moment in technology history: the launch of the first commercial microprocessor by Intel in 1971. This parallel helped illustrate how Ikusi has evolved alongside major technological transformations. Maiz stressed that, beyond technical advancements, true value has always lain in the ability to apply technology to solve real problems.
During his speech, he highlighted the company’s DNA—based on specialization, technology, proximity, and innovation—as well as its international expansion, its integration into the Velatia group in 2010, and the strengthening of capabilities through operations such as the acquisition of Aryse. He also noted the company’s team growth, exceeding 1,000 professionals in 2025, and the strategic role of areas such as cybersecurity, which already represents a significant part of the business. In this context, he underscored Ikusi’s commitment to developing technological infrastructures ready to drive the adoption of artificial intelligence in organizations.
For his part, Javier Aguilera, Managing Director of Ikusi Spain, offered a more personal and close perspective, recalling the beginnings of his own business career in 2002, marked by enthusiasm but also by initial difficulties such as a lack of funding. In his speech, he emphasized that the success of projects does not depend solely on resources, but on the people who believe in them.
Aguilera highlighted Ikusi’s culture, based on trust, customer focus, and long-term collaboration, and thanked clients, partners, and employees for their support over the years. He also expressed his enthusiasm for the opportunities opened up by the current technological revolution, especially in the field of artificial intelligence, and his conviction that Ikusi has the talent and experience necessary to be a key player in this new landscape.
The closing remarks were delivered by José Iglesias, also Managing Director of Ikusi Spain, who focused his speech on the role of people as the true driving force of the company. Iglesias highlighted the professionalism, dedication, and approachability of the teams, as well as the sustained collaboration over more than two decades with strategic partners.
In his speech, he stressed that behind every project and every technological solution are committed teams, and described Ikusi as a dynamic, diverse, and customer‑oriented organization with the ambition to continue growing. He also invited attendees to celebrate not only the company’s trajectory, but also the relationships built, the challenges overcome, and those still to come.
The event concluded in a festive atmosphere, where attendees were able to share a celebration that not only commemorated Ikusi’s 55 years of history, but also strengthened the ties that underpin its futur
