Cosentino rolls out Cisco ThousandEyes as a service, a project in conjunction with Ikusi to improve visibility for its business network
Cosentino, the leader in the sector of sustainable surfaces for the world of design, has entrusted Ikusi with a service-based project focusing on implementing and managing Cisco ThousandEyes, the digital experience assurance solution. This agreement, in force for one year, will enable Cosentino to obtain proactive visibility of the end-to-end provision of any SaaS or cloud-hosted application in any network, so as to swiftly detect any incidents and ensure the digital experience quality expected by its users.
Today, it is vital for companies to know at all times and in real time what is happening on the network (whether proprietary or external), in systems and in applications, and to ensure that they are functioning as efficiently as possible. Cisco ThousandEyes offers an end-to-end perspective of the digital experience, allowing Cosentino to detect critical failures, keep its operations running smoothly and ensure optimized digital experiences. All this is essential in a business where any interruption can have considerable economic repercussions. By contrast, any small improvements in performance can result in significant savings at the end of the year.
In fact, Cosentino has achieved performance improvements in the use of ERP in the factory terminals that serve the productive process thanks to the information they obtain by using Cisco ThousandEyes. Performance improvements have also been obtained in Microsoft 365 applications due to optimizing connectivity management with regard to Teams services. These services are critical for the company as they make up its internal means of communication, as well as the medium for its telephone-based customer service.
As part of the challenge, it had to be taken into account that Cosentino is a multinational company with applications located around the world, where consumption occurs from many different geographic locations and time zones, creating a diverse and widespread network environment. This is a complicated environment consisting of the company’s own corporate network infrastructure, roaming users and other users working in locations outside the corporate network, such as representative offices and commercial partner offices.
Ikusi has contributed holistic visibility to this project as regards the operators, as well as its in-depth knowledge of Cisco ThousandEyes. Ikusi not only implements the technology but also provides a continuous service throughout the adoption process, ensuring that Cosentino can benefit as much as possible from the innovative capabilities of Cisco ThousandEyes.
Cosentino has rated Ikusi’s agility and knowledge highly, as well as Ikusi’s capacity to adapt its professional services to the specific needs of the company and to offer this managed services project at an international level. Cosentino has also highlighted Ikusi’s invaluable support in end-to-end network monitoring through Cisco ThousandEyes, thereby simplifying management and measurement of the service from the various service providers.
