Technological solutions to fight piracy

Surely, if we ask any manager of a telecommunications operator (service providers), he will place piracy and the need to control the video sessions that are authorized to each customer depending on the entertainment packages purchased at a very high point on the scale of concerns for his business.

The Challenge

A service provider, a recurring customer of Ikusi in Mexico, is also facing similar problems, but, until now, had not entrusted Ikusi with projects related to the video area. Specifically, a project to update the management, provisioning and configuration control platforms for set-top boxes and other compatible devices.

The solution

On the one hand, Ikusi is going to carry out the upgrade of ROSA VSM (Video Service Manager). A complete and powerful solution for digital content management.

I don’t need your comments, I’m throwing a curve

Ikusi will also upgrade iDNCS, the convergent and high-performance system for operators designed to virtualize telecom services, simplify operations and consolidate infrastructure in order to increase service providers’ profitability and improve consumers’ experience.

Finally, Ikusi will also develop the centralization and upgrade of digital headend access equipment. The manufacturer Synamedia has been the supplier of the three software versions and with them the telecommunications operator will migrate towards technologies that support virtualized schemes, which allow savings in space and equipment involved, thus lowering costs for the Service Provider.
