Ikusi boosts the digitisation and cybersecurity of Arquia Banca’s customers and employees

The financial sector’s focus remains on going digital, and cybersecurity is becoming one of its priorities. In this context, banks regard integrated security solution management as a basic requirement.

As a bank specialising in professional-specific services, with 36 branches in Spain and head offices in Madrid and Barcelona, going digital is a linchpin of Arquia Banca’s Strategic Plan to make its business more competitive and upgrade its customers’ experience. After teaming up with its technological allies Ikusi and Cisco, Arquia Banca has rolled out highly reliable digital processes, products and solutions to boost its greater security measures (through Cisco Web Secure Appliance, Cloud Secure Mail and Duo Security). By doing so, it can now rely on an end-to-end security solution that ensures that all of its employees’ devices, applications and, above all, e-mail, are secure.

One of Arquia Banca’s main goals is to keep on improving the customer experience in physical and virtual environments alike, and a prerequisite to do so is having flexible technological equipment and secure and reliable processes. Arquia Banca has embarked on an ambitious digitisation process that regards technology as an enabling tool to boost the bank’s own business. Cisco’s highly reliable technology was one of the features taken into account by the bank in choosing Ikusi’s and Cisco’s services.

Unrivalled visibility

Cisco’s role in this project is being performed by Cisco Talos, one of the world’s largest private cyber-intelligence divisions, which provides unrivalled threat visibility by handling 550 billion security events a day and blocking 9 million emails every hour and 2,000 Internet domains every second.

In the words of Candid Andreu, director of Media and Technology at Arquia Banca, “ensuring that our services and processes are managed properly involves analysing and rolling out technological solutions that let us integrate all our systems and let those systems communicate with each other. One of the keys in the digital age is to work shoulder-to-shoulder with top-level technology partners in deploying measures and solutions that let us guarantee the security of everything that our employees and customers do every day”.

Sergio Moles, Territory Business Manager at Cisco, explained that “when a company considers it needs end-to-end security, Cisco’s approach is different due both to the integration capacity of its solutions and to how they communicate with each other, providing high levels of security against possible access breaches.”

Felipe Rubio, Account Manager at Ikusi, highlighted his company’s flexible and agile approach. “Our teams have internalized that one of our great values lies in customer service. If the customer has a problem or need, it becomes our problem and our need,” Rubio said.
